'I gazed into the abyss of my soul and all I found was disciples' is a conceptual, docufictional series exploring the borders between imagination and reality.

I’ve always been fascinated by cults and their leaders to such an extent that I sometimes dreamed about starting a cult of my own.  For years I have tried and failed to fathom why I am so spellbound by this topic. As a kid, I used to fantasize about what kind of person I might become. In my mind, I created an idealized self-image which was deeply influenced by art and (pop) culture. Needless to say, these fantasies didn’t become reality but I still indulge in them from time to time to create an alter ego to the part of my personality which is full of self doubts, fear of failure and melancholy.
