About Space - A Visual Diary, 2020

'About Space - A Visual Diary' is an autobiographical series. Black and white self-portraits and landscape shots come together to form a mosaic of various personal and aesthetic reflections on the theme of space and subject.

What is inside and what is outside – spatially and psychologically?

What reference do I have as an individual subject in space?

When do I appear as an alien in space?

The photographs are taken in nature and urban environments, in open and closed spaces. Through self-portraits, I partially stage myself in these spaces – either with great proximity to the camera or from a distance. The boundaries between presence and absence blur. Associative visual fragments emerge, much like the scattered memories of a dream that cannot be fully unravelled.
